Alvin Minniefield ID’d as Santa Rosa Man Killed in Calistoga Crash on Highway 29 near Larkmead Lane

Calistoga, California (March 17, 2021) – Alvin Ray Minniefield, 64, of Santa Rosa, has been identified as the man who was killed in a Monday morning head-on collision that left one other person injured in Calistoga, according to the Napa County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.
The deadly two-vehicle accident happened at about 10:00 a.m., on March 15, on Highway 29 just south of Larkmead Lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound Subaru operated by Philip Popick, 30, of Calistoga, crossed over the centerline into the path of a northbound Infiniti, driven by Minniefield.
Unfortunately, the two vehicles collided head-on.

Sadly, Minniefield sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Deborah Abata, 62, of Santa Rosa, sustained major injuries in the accident. Abata was a passenger in the infinity.
Popick was taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center with major injuries. Popick was arrested at the Queen for suspected felony DUI, causing major injury.
The crash remains under investigation.
