Buellton, California (March 16, 2020) – The victim who was hospitalized with serious injuries after being involved in a traffic collision Sunday afternoon in Buellton has been identified as 35-year-old Keith Parker of Lompoc.

The California Highway Patrol said the major injury crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m., March 14, on Highway 246.

The accident happened when a 1988 Mercedes driven by Parker eastbound on the highway made an unsafe turning movement and swerved into the median for undetermined reasons.

Due to the impact, Parker was ejected after the Mercedes rolled over.

Keith was the only occupant in the car and was not wearing a seatbelt at the collision time.

The driver sustained major injuries and was flown to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.

Intoxication was not considered as a factor in the mishap.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
