1 Person Killed, 2 Injured in Perris Crash on Highway 74

Perris, California (March 13, 2021) – One person was killed in a Saturday morning two-vehicle accident that left two other parties injured in Perris, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred at about 5:50 a.m. on Highway 74.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2004 Honda Accord was traveling the wrong way on the westbound side of the highway when it crashed into an oncoming 2000 Nissan Pathfinder.
Both drivers were reportedly not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. And the driver of the Accord was suspected of having been intoxicated.
2 Injured in Fatal Highway 74 Crash
Sadly, the driver of the Accord was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Pathfinder was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center with major injuries.
One other person involved in the accident declined hospitalization.
Drugs or alcohol were suspected of having played a role in the mishap.
The crash remains under investigation.
