One Dies in Porter Ranch Car Crash on North Tampa Avenue

Porter Ranch, California (March 7, 2021) – One person was killed Saturday afternoon in a traffic accident in the Porter Ranch neighborhood in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The deadly crash was reported at around 2:39 p.m. in the 10800 block of North Tampa Avenue.
Authorities said two vehicles collided for unknown reasons on North Tampa Avenue. The impact caused one of the vehicles to slam into a pole, pinning the driver inside the vehicle.

Sadly, the trapped driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
A section of Tampa Avenue was closed due to the collision. Motorists were being asked to seek alternate routes.
The accident remains under investigation.
