Katherine Trout Hospitalized after Plumas County Crash on Highway 89 near Wolf Creek Undercrossing

Plumas County, California (February 23, 2021) – Katherine Trout, 69, both of Taylorsville, were injured Thursday afternoon in a traffic accident in Plumas County, according to a local news source.
The single-vehicle crash happened at around 3:25 p.m. Thursday, February 18, on Highway 89, just south of the Wolf Creek undercrossing, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Barton was driving a 2013 Toyota Tacoma southbound on Highway 89 when the Toyota’s tires lost traction on the snowy road while traversing a left curve in the roadway.
The Toyota began fishtailing in a southbound direction and cross from the southbound lane to the east shoulder, where it struck a tree. After the crash, Barton got out of the vehicle and reported to the police.
Trout, who was riding as a passenger in the Toyota, was taken to Plumas District Hospital with minor injuries. Both occupants were wearing their safety belts at the time of the accident, authorities said.
The crash remains under investigation.
