Woman Killed, Teenage Boy Injured in West Los Angeles Car Crash at West Olympic Boulevard and Overland Avenue
West Los Angeles, California (February 17, 2021)– A two-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a woman Wednesday evening in West Los Angeles and left a teenage boy injured, authorities said.
The deadly crash was reported at about 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of West Olympic Boulevard and Overland Avenue.
Authorities said two vehicles collided for unknown reasons at the intersection.
Deadly Car Crash in West Los Angeles
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found a woman who was driving one of the vehicles pinned inside the wreckage.
Sadly, the woman was declared deceased at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The other driver, a teenage boy, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
No other details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
