2 Injured, 1 Critically, in Santa Barbara Car Crash on Highway 154
Santa Barbara, California (February 10, 2021) – Two people were injured, one critically, in a head-on crash in Santa Barbara Tuesday evening, according to a local news source.
The major injury collision was reported at around 5:23 p.m. Tuesday, February 9 on Highway 154, just below W. Camino Cielo, authorities said.
According to the authorities, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons on Highway 154. One of the vehicles caught fire after the impact.
Car Accident on Highway 154 in Santa Barbara
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to two people who were injured as a result of the crash.
Both patients were then taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, one with critical injuries and the second with minor injuries. Their names and conditions were not immediately disclosed.
Police temporarily closed Highway 154 while the investigation and cleanup took place.
An investigation into the accident is under investigation.
