38-Year-Old Man Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Crash on Friant Road near Merrill Avenue

Fresno, California (February 7, 2021) – A 38-year-old male pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Saturday morning in Fresno, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at about 7:00 a.m., on February 6, on Friant Road near Merrill Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian was walking on the paved shoulder of the roadway when a vehicle swerved to the right and struck the man for undetermined reasons.

Sadly, the man sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The involved driver fled the scene and is being sought by the police.
It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
