Indio, California (February 5, 2021) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau has disclosed the identity of a pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Indio on Thursday morning.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Monroe Street and Avenue 42 at about 4:53 a.m. February 4.
Anthony Duran, 51, was struck by a vehicle at the intersection in unclear circumstances.
Duran was killed in the accident.
The driver fled the scene of the accident and was yet to be located.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
