Man Killed in Riverside Pedestrian Accident at Indiana Avenue and Jefferson Street
Riverside, California (February 3, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening at an intersection in Riverside, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened at about 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, in the area of Indiana Avenue and Jefferson Street.
According to authorities, a man was walking across the street when he was struck by a pickup truck that was traveling eastbound on Indiana Avenue.
Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Pickup in Riverside
The pedestrian, whose name has not been released pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup, a 22-year-old Moreno Valley man, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police. Authorities said neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the collision.
Indiana Avenue between Jefferson and Detroit Drive Tuesday was closed during the investigation.
The accident remains under investigation.
