Burlingame, California (February 1, 2020) –34-year-old Liezl Gonzales has been identified as the South San Francisco woman who died following a traffic collision on January 31 in Burlingame, according to a report by the San Mateo County coroner’s office.

The deadly rollover crash took place at about 11:57 a.m. on southbound U.S. Highway 101 south of Millbrae Avenue.

The accident happened when a Honda driven by Gonzales southbound on Highway 101 made a right turn unexpectedly and crashed with energy impact attenuators.

Due to the impact, the Honda overturned on its roof and come to a stop in the No. 1 lane where it was hit by a 2016 Land Rover operated by a 33-year-old man southbound in the No. 1 lane.

Gonzales was then ejected and hit a temporary concrete K-Rail with her body before being pronounced dead at the crash site.

Meanwhile, the Land Rover motorist survived with minor cuts to his right wrist.

The wreck resulted in the closure of all southbound lanes for approximately an hour and a half.
