Salvador Barnes Arrested For DUI After Crash That Injured Child in Moreno Valley
6-Year-Old Child In Critical Condition after Moreno Valley Crash at Ironwood Avenue and Heacock Street
Moreno Valley, California (January 29, 2021) – Salvador Joseph Barnes, 44, was arrested following an alleged DUI crash that left a 6-year-old child in critical condition in Moreno Valley Thursday evening.
The accident happened at about 6:49 p.m. Thursday, January 28, at the intersection of Ironwood Avenue and Heacock Street.
Authorities said Barnes was driving in the area when he lost control of his vehicle, which drifted off the roadway before crashing into a utility pole.

The child, who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Riverside University Medical Center.
Barnes was also taken to Riverside University Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries before being arrested suspicion of DUI causing injuries and child endangerment resulting in great bodily injury.
Barnes was being held at the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside in lieu of $90,000 bail.
