Contra Costa County, California (January 25, 2021) – A Oakland woman was killed early Sunday morning in a traffic accident in Contra Costa County, according to a local news source.

The California Highway Patrol said the deadly single-vehicle crash happened at around 2:45 a.m. Sunday, January 25, on State Route 160 at Main Street.

According to the CHP, a black Hyundai Elantra was heading on State Route 160 when, for unknown reasons, it drifted off the roadway into the center median.

The vehicle reportedly crashed into the center concrete guardrail and then plunged down onto Main Street, located below State Route 160.

The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of family.

Alcohol or drugs were considered a factor in the crash.
