Severe Injuries Sustained in Stockton Big Rig Crash on Highway 99 at Highway 26 Off-Ramp

Stockton, California (January 16, 2021) – Severe injuries were sustained in a big rig crash that happened early Saturday morning in Stockton, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP received reports of the crash at about 3:19 a.m. on southbound Highway 99 at the Highway 26 off-ramp.
As per the report, a big rig driver called authorities reporting that they had hit a vehicle that was allegedly stopped in traffic lanes.
The report said the big rig hit the vehicle, a Honda Civic, from behind.
Two male parties were still in the Civic after the crash, and the car was blocking the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help an unknown number of parties who suffered severe injuries in the collision.
The big rig was pulling a single trailer-refrigerator loaded with yogurt, the report said. The big rig driver moved the vehicle to the gore point after the crash.
Debris was scattered in the roadway and needed cleaning.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
