1 Person Killed in Simi Valley Pedestrian Crash at First Street and Pacific Avenue
Simi Valley, California (January 16, 2021) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday evening in Simi Valley, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 6:33 p.m., on January 15, at First Street and Pacific Avenue.
According to the police, the pedestrian was attempting to cross First Street eastbound from the southwest corner of Pacific Avenue in an unmarked crosswalk when a pickup truck struck them.
The pickup truck was allegedly headed northbound in the number two lane of First Street when it struck the pedestrian.
Pedestrian Killed in Crash at First Street and Pacific Avenue
Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
