CHP Investigating Hayward Multi-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 880 Freeway near Industrial Parkway
Hayward, California (January 7, 2021) – Injuries were reported Thursday afternoon after four vehicles crashed on an interstate in Hayward.
A black Tesla SUV, a white Lexus SUV, a big rig truck, and a fourth vehicle collided on the southbound Interstate 880 Freeway at about 2:0 p.m. on January 7.
The California Highway Patrol did not immediately establish how the collision occurred on the interstate near the Industrial Parkway off-ramp.
Interstate 880 Freeway Truck Accident Thursday Afternoon
The Tesla SUV acquired moderate rear right-side damage while the Lexus SUV had a front flat tire upon the impact.
All involved parties were attended to by medical personnel who responded to the crash site shortly after the mishap.
Officials requested a tow truck to remove the Tesla and the Lexus away from the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
