Jennifer Lundgren Killed in DUI Crash on Road 206 in Madera County

Madera County, California (January 7, 2021) – Authorities have identified the passenger who died in an alleged DUI crash on New Year’s Eve in Madera County as Jennifer Dawn Lundgren, 41, of Madera.
The deadly accident occurred just after midnight December 31 on private property east of Road 206 and west of the Millerton Lake area.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Ashton Wilfong, 28, of Friant, was driving a Dodge Ram truck down a hill on the private property when she made an unsafe turn and lost control of the truck.
The truck reportedly rolled over and landed on its roof.

Lundgren, who was a front-passenger in the truck, was partially ejected as a result of the crash. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 17-year-old girl, who was riding in the back seat of the truck, was transported to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
A 16-year-old and a fourth passenger, Mylyn McCune, 22, of Fresno, were not injured in the crash.
Authorities determined that Wilfong was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. She was arrested at the scene and booked into Madera County Jail for driving while intoxicated and gross vehicular manslaughter.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
