Courtney Curtis Killed in Taft Motorcycle Crash on 6th Street

Taft, California (January 5, 2021) – 27-year-old Courtney Curtis has been identified by the Kern County Sheriff’s Department as the woman who was killed in a motorcycle accident last month in Taft.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the 1100 block of 6th Street at about 11:48 a.m. December 26.
A motorcycle was traveling on the roadway when the rider lost control and crashed.
Curtis, a Taft resident, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The condition of the second rider was not immediately disclosed.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
