Kyle Aragon ID’d as Man Killed in Vallejo Crash on Highway 80 near Highway 37 Off-Ramp
Vallejo, California (December 30, 2020) – The Solano County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died in a single-vehicle rollover crash Wednesday morning in Vallejo as Kyle Aragon, 28, of Portland, Oregon.
The deadly accident occurred at about 4:40 a.m. on Interstate Highway 80 near the Highway 37 exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said Aragon was driving his green GMC Sierra pickup truck westbound on Highway 80 at about 80 miles per hour when he made a sudden turn toward the State Highway 37 onramp and went through the gore point.
Aragon then made another unexpected turn back onto Highway 80, and as a result, the GMC overturned.
Deadly Solo-Car Crash on Highway 80 in Vallejo
Aragon was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. A dog inside the car was injured and taken by the Solano County Sheriff’s Animal Control.
Three right lanes of Interstate 80 were closed due to the crash. As of 7:00 a.m., all lanes were reopened to traffic.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
