Gary Barbier ID’d as Person Injured in Lincoln Car Crash at Athens Avenue and Foothills Boulevard in Lincoln
Lincoln, California (December 28, 2020) – Gary Barbier, 59, has been identified as the person who was injured in a Monday morning two-vehicle crash that killed one other person in Lincoln, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened at the intersection of Athens Avenue and North Foothills Boulevard at about 11:29 a.m.
A Chevy SUV, driven by John Haugen, 68, of Rocklin, was headed eastbound on Athens Avenue when it drifted into the westbound lane where it collided head-on with a white Ford Utility truck driven by Barbier, the CHP said.

Sadly, Haugen was pronounced dead at the scene.
Barbier sustained minor injuries and was taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
