Cerritos, California (December 28, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Monday morning traffic accident that killed at least one person in Cerritos.
The two-vehicle accident happened at about 4:26 a.m. San Gabriel River (605) Freeway at South Street.
A witness told the California Highway Patrol that two vehicles collided in the carpool lane in unclear circumstances.
As a result of the collision, one of the vehicles caught fire.

At least one person sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the mishap.
The crash remains under investigation.
