At Least 2 Seriously Injured in Van Nuys Crash on San Diego (405) Freeway at Sherman Way
Van Nuys, California (December 25, 2020) – At least two people were seriously injured Friday evening in a traffic accident involving several vehicles in Van Nuys, a local news source reported.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 6:10 p.m. on San Diego (405) Freeway at Sherman Way.
The CHP said two motorcycles and at least two other vehicles collided on the northbound side of the 405 Freeway for unknown reasons.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and found one motorcycle rider down in the roadway. Authorities said at least two people were trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by the firefighters.
At least two patients were taken to a local hospital with major injuries, according to the CHP. The names and current conditions of the victims were not disclosed.
All northbound lanes of 405 Freeway were closed due to the crash. As of 8:44 p.m., all lanes were reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
