Randy Sanders ID’d as Suspect Arrested after Watsonville Car Crash on East Lake Avenue near College Road
Watsonville, California (December 24, 2020) – Randy Sanders has been identified as the suspect who was arrested after a hit-and-run accident that left one person seriously injured last month in Watsonville, authorities said.
The major injury accident happened on November 23, on East Lake Avenue south of College Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Sanders was driving his Ford F-150 recklessly and was doing donuts in a dirt lot near East Lake Avenue.
The passenger door had opened and Evaristo “Danny” Barrera, who was a passenger and was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.

Barrera sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Sanders fled the scene and investigators issued an arrest warrant. He was arrested on Tuesday, November 23.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
