Driver Seriously Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash on Dickenson Ferry Road in Merced

Merced, California (December 23, 2020) – A driver was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Merced, according to a local news source.

The California Highway Patrol said the major injury collision happened at about 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22 on West Dickenson Ferry Road, just west of Highway 59.

According to the CHP, a 29-year-old Merced man was driving a 2004 Honda Accord eastbound on West Dickenson Ferry Road when, for undetermined reasons, he allowed the vehicle to drift off the roadway and rolled over several times.

The vehicle reportedly came to rest on its roof in a field. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.

Major Injury Crash in Merced

The driver sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. His identity and current condition were not disclosed.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
