Woman Seriously Injured in Quincy Crash on Highway 70

Quincy, California (December 16, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday morning traffic accident that left a woman seriously injured in Quincy.
The major injury three-vehicle accident occurred at about 7:09 a.m. on Highway 70.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a UPS truck was towing a trailer and speeding westbound on Highway 70 when it crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a silver Toyota RAV4, driven by a woman.
As a result of the collision, the RAV4 was pushed into the eastbound lane, directly into the path of a lumber truck, which was behind the UPS truck, the officials said.
Unfortunately, the RAV4 reportedly collided head-on with the lumber truck.
Woman Hospitalized after Highway 70 Crash
The woman, who was trapped in her vehicle, was extricated by the first responders. She was flown to Enloe Medical Center in Chico with major injuries.
The drivers of both trucks were not injured in the accident.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
