Esteban Zuniga ID’d as 29-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Arroyo Grande Crash on Highway 101 near N Halcyon Road

Arroyo Grande, California (December 8, 2020) – Esteban Zuniga, 29, of Grover Beach, has been identified as the man who was killed in a bicycle accident last week in Arroyo Grande, the CHP said.
The deadly accident happened shortly before 2:30 p.m., Thursday, December 3, in the southbound lanes of Highway 101, south of North Halcyon Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Zuniga was trying to cross the highway when a southbound 2016 Honda Accord, driven by a 28-year-old Santa Maria man, struck him.
Following the collision, Zuniga, who was not wearing a helmet, was reportedly ejected onto the roadway.

Sadly, Zuniga was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
