39-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Arroyo Grande Crash on Highway 101 near N Halcyon Road

Arroyo Grande, California (December 3, 2020) – A 39-year-old man from Grover Beach was killed in a bicycle accident on Thursday afternoon in Arroyo Grande, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened at about 2:22 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 101, south of N Halcyon Road.
According to the CHP, the Grover Beach man was trying to cross the southbound lanes of the highway when an oncoming car struck him.
Following the collision, the cyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was reportedly ejected onto the roadway.

Sadly, the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
