1 Injured in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 1 near Bodega Bay in Santa Rosa
Santa Rosa, California (November 29, 2020) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a van in Santa Rosa on Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 1 near Bodega Bay at about 12:58 p.m.
A black Harley Davidson motorcycle was heading northbound on the highway when it drifted into the southbound lanes and collided with a silver Mercedes Sprinter van.
The motorcyclist suffered major head trauma and was flown to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The collision resulted in the closure of the southbound lane of Highway 1 for almost an hour.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
