Officer Injured in Collision on 91 Freeway near 5 Freeway in Fullerton
Fullerton, California (November 28, 2020) – A Buena Park Police Department officer was injured in a collision that happened on Friday evening in Buena Park.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 6 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Artesia (91) Freeway near the Santa Ana (5) Freeway.
The officer was enforcing a traffic stop on the freeway when a driver backed up and struck the officer.
The officer was injured in the collision and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The suspect drove away from the scene and was yet to be apprehended.
The authorities shut down all lanes of I-5 near the 91 Freeway.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
