Fresno, California (November 25, 2020) – Abegale Brewer, 29, of Fresno, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a traffic accident on Tuesday night in Fresno, the CHP said.

The deadly single-vehicle accident happened at about 9:15 p.m., on November 24, at Chateau Fresno Avenue and Kearney Boulevard.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2002 Honda Accord, driven by Brewer, was headed westbound on Kearney at a high rate of speed when it lost control, drifted off to the right, and struck a palm tree.

As a result of the crash impact, the vehicle was split into two, the officials said.

Brewer, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
