Kearny Mesa Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Health Center Drive Left 61-Year-Old Man Dead
Kearny Mesa, California (November 20, 2020) – According to a report by the San Diego Police, an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian accident that occurred in Kearny Mesa Thursday afternoon left one person dead.
The fatal crash was reported at about 5:30 p.m., on November 19, in the 3000 block of Health Center Drive.
A 61-year-old man was reportedly struck by a vehicle inside Sharp Memorial Hospital in unclear circumstances.
The man had been discharged from the hospital and was on Health Center Drive at the collision time.
Fatal Kearny Mesa Pedestrian Accident Thursday Afternoon
Sadly, the unidentified pedestrian died at the hospital while undergoing treatment.
The mishap resulted in the closure of Health Center Drive and Frost Street for an unknown time.
Police are gathering more evidence to locate the suspect who escaped the scene after the wreck.
