Steven Spindler Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Freedom Boulevard in Aptos
Steven Spindler ID’d as Man Killed in Aptos Accident at Freedom Boulevard and Valencia Road
Aptos, California (November 18, 2020) – Steven Spindler, 69, of Aptos, has been identified as the man who died following a traffic accident that happened earlier this month in Aptos, according to the San Mateo County coroner’s office.
The accident happened at about 5:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, at the intersection of Freedom Boulevard and Valencia Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2010 Dodge Caravan, driven by Spindler, was heading northbound on Freedom Boulevard when it made a left turn onto Valencia Road.
Unfortunately, the Dodge turned directly in front of a 1999 Ford E150 that was heading southbound. Both vehicles collided at the intersection.
Deadly Car Crash at Freedom Boulevard and Valencia Road in Aptos
Spindler was initially taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and then transported to Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in San Mateo County, where he was pronounced deceased on Friday, November 13.
The condition of the Ford’s driver, a 64-year-old Watsonville resident, was not immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
