3 Injured in Chain Reaction Crash on Brookhurst Street in Anaheim
Police Officer among 3 Hospitalized after Anaheim Accident on Brookhurst Street

Anaheim, California (November 17, 2020) – A police officer and two civilians were injured Monday evening in a chain reaction crash in Anaheim, authorities said.
At about 5:30 p.m. Monday, November 16, emergency personnel responded to the 200 block of Brookhurst Street, for a report of a minor traffic collision involving an Acura MDX and a BMW SUV.
Authorities said the Acura was struck from behind by the BMW in the middle southbound lane of Brookhurst Street for unknown reasons.
Moments later, the BMW was rear-ended by a Honda Civic, causing a chain reaction collision. One police officer was standing near the two stopped SUVs when the accident occurred.
The officer and a driver of one of the SUVs suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital. The male driver of the Honda was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
The names of the victims and their current condition remained undisclosed.
Authorities closed Brookhurst between Lincoln and Catalina avenues as they investigated the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
