Woman Killed in Irwindale Accident on Lower Azusa Road near 605 Freeway
Irwindale, California (November 15, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday morning traffic accident that killed a woman in Irwindale.
The deadly single-vehicle accident transpired at about 5:36 a.m., on Lower Azusa Road, west of the San Gabriel Valley (605) Freeway overpass.
According to the police, a white 2018 Chevrolet Cruz was driving eastbound on Lower Azusa Road when it crossed over the center divider and struck a Southern California Edison utility pole on the north side of the roadway.
Woman Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on Lower Azusa Road
A woman who was in the vehicle sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The westbound lanes of Lower Azusa Road were closed at the 605 Freeway for several hours due to the accident.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
