Stanton Woman Killed in Garden Grove Motorcycle Crash on 22 Freeway near Knott Avenue
Garden Grove, California (November 12, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night in a traffic accident on a freeway in Garden Grove, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly motorcycle crash happened at about 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, on 22 Freeway, just west of Knott Avenue.
The CHP said a 22-year-old Stanton woman was riding his motorcycle westbound on 22 Freeway when, for unknown reasons, she crashed into a shoulder wall.
The impact caused the rider to be thrown from the bike and slide back into traffic lanes, where she was struck by passing vehicles.
Deadly Motorcycle Crash on 22 Freeway in Garden Grove
The motorcyclist died in the crash. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The drivers involved stopped at the scene.
It is undetermined whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
