Juan Tovar ID’d as Santa Ana Man Killed in Huntington Beach Pedestrian Crash on Pacific Coast Highway near Brookhurst Street

Huntington Beach, California (November 11, 2020) – Juan Martinez Tovar, 79, of Santa Ana, has been identified as the man who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Wednesday morning in Huntington Beach, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 5:10 a.m. on Pacific Coast Highway, just south of Brookhurst Street.
According to the police, Tovar was struck by a vehicle driven by a 59-year-old man from Newport Beach on the highway in unclear circumstances.

Sadly, Tovar was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

The crash remains under investigation.
