Charles Needs ID’d as Man Killed in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 15 near El Cajon Boulevard Off-Ramp

San Diego, California (November 11, 2020) – The San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the pedestrian who died after being struck by several vehicles Thursday evening in San Diego as Charles Allen Needs, 53.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 5:25 p.m. Thursday, November 5, on southbound Interstate 15, just north of the El Cajon Boulevard exit.
Authorities said Needs was walking in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 when, for unknown reasons, he was hit by multiple vehicles.
Needs was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
