Mary Godinez Hurt in Car Accident at Winmoore Way and Gobel Way in Modesto
Modesto, California (November 4, 2020) – 67-year-old Mary Godinez has been identified as the woman who was killed in a head-on collision that happened on Monday evening in Modesto.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the area of Winmoore Way and Gobel Way at about 6:45 p.m. November 2.
Godinez was reportedly driving a 2007 Buick Rendezvous westbound on the highway when she collided head-on with a 2006 Hummer driven by 27-year-old Miguel Flores, of Modesto.
Godinez was pinned inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by crews from the Modesto Fire Department.
Godinez was seriously injured in the accident.
Flores and his passenger were unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
