Raul Monreal Killed in Garden Grove Scooter Crash at Valley View Street and Lampson Avenue
Garden Grove, California (October 29, 2020) – 30-year-old Raul Monreal, of Westminster, has been identified as the man who was killed in a scooter accident in the West Grove district of Garden Grove on Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 7 p.m. October 27, in the area of Valley View Street and Lampson Avenue.
Monreal was riding a motorized scooter in the area when he was hit by a car that was making a left turn at the intersection.
Monreal was injured in the accident and was transported to UCI Medical Center where he died while undergoing treatment.
The 24-year-old woman remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
