Thomas Burns ID’d as Bicyclist Killed in Eureka Crash at Broadway Street and West Wabash Avenue
Eureka, California (October 28, 2020) – Authorities have identified the bicyclist who died after being struck by a vehicle Friday morning in Eureka as Thomas Burns, 67 of Eureka.
The deadly bicycle accident took place at about 10:45 a.m. Friday, October 23, at the intersection of Broadway Street and West Wabash Avenue.
According to the authorities, Burns was riding his bicycle against traffic on Broadway Street when he was hit by a vehicle that was making a right turn from West Wabash Avenue onto Broadway Street.
Fatal Friday Morning Bicycle Crash on Broadway Street
Burns was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor in the accident.
