57-Year-Old El Sobrante Man Killed in Highway 24 Accident near Pleasant Hill Road in Lafayette
Lafayette, California (October 26, 2020) – A man was killed Monday evening in a single-vehicle traffic collision in Lafayette, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The deadly crash, which was reported at about 4:38 p.m., happened on Highway 24 near Pleasant Hill Road.
According to the CHP, a 57-year-old El Sobrante man was driving a white 2017 GMC Sierra on Highway 24 when, for an unknown reason, he allowed the vehicle to drift off the roadway and hit a metal pole.

The driver was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
