Woman Killed in Modesto DUI Crash near Carver Road and Standiford Avenue
Modesto, California (October 24, 2020) – A woman was killed Friday night in an alleged DUI crash in Modesto, according to authorities.
The deadly crash happened at around 9:15 p.m. Friday, October 23, near the intersection of Carver Road and Standiford Avenue.
Authorities said a dark-colored Infiniti sports car and another silver vehicle were allegedly racing westbound on Standiford Avenue while a red Jeep Wrangler was pulling out of a gas station nearby.
For an unknown reason, the Infiniti collided with the Jeep.
Deadly Crash near Carver Road and Standiford Avenue
The female driver of the Jeep was ejected onto the parking lot across the street. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the silver car did not stop and fled the scene. Standiford Avenue from Carver Road west to Shawnee Drive was closed while the authorities investigated the crash.
