Pedestrian Killed in Santa Monica Crash at Pico Boulevard and Stewart Avenue

Santa Monica, California (October 14, 2020) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning at an intersection in Santa Monica, authorities said.
At about 8:00 a.m.Tuesday, October 13, the authorities received a report about the pedestrian accident at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Stewart Avenue.
According to the authorities, the pedestrian, only identified as an adult female, was walking inside a crosswalk when she was hit by a southbound vehicle that was making an eastbound turn onto Pico Boulevard from Stewart Avenue.
Deadly Pedestrian Crash at Pico Boulevard and Stewart Avenue
The pedestrian suffered severe head trauma and was treated at the scene by responding paramedics before transporting her to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her name was withheld pending notification of family.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.
