Woodland Hills Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Highway 126 in Val Verde

Val Verde, California (October 12, 2020) – A man was killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Val Verde, authorities said.

The deadly accident happened at about 8:10 p.m. Sunday, October 11, on Highway 126, just west of Potrero Canyon Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.

According to the CHP, a 27-year-old Woodland Hills man was driving a gray Ford sedan westbound on Highway 126 at an unspecified speed when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle veered off the roadway and hit a drainage culvert.

The vehicle then flipped onto its roof and caught fire.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and extricated the driver from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

It remains unclear if intoxication played a role in the collision.
