San Pablo Fiery Single-Car Crash on Interstate 80 near San Pablo Dam Road Left 37-Year-Old Geary Terry Jr. Dead
San Pablo, California (October 9, 2020) – 37-year-old Geary Terry Jr., of Vallejo, has been identified as one of the two victims who died following a fiery car accident Friday night in San Pablo, the Alameda County Coroner’s Office reported.
The single-vehicle collision happened at approximately 5:52 p.m. on Interstate 80 near the San Pablo Dam Road exit.
A Kia sedan, traveling in the number 4 lane of the interstate, reportedly lost control and slammed into a concrete pillar along the westbound side of Interstate 80 for reasons still under investigation.
Due to the impact, the sedan caught fire.
Terry Jr. and a second occupant in the Kia sedan were rescued from the burning vehicle by Good Samaritans.
Geary Terry Jr. Fatal San Pablo Fiery Crash on Interstate 80
Terry Jr. died at Highland Hospital in Oakland while undergoing treatment. The other unidentified victim was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
Meanwhile, the October 2 accident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
