Minor Injuries Reported in Esparto Truck Crash at County Road 19 and County Road 87
Esparto, California (October 9, 2020) – Minor injuries were reported Friday morning following a traffic accident involving a big rig at an Esparto intersection, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash happened shortly before 6:19 a.m. in the area of County Road 19 and County Road 87.
As per the CHP report, a yellow pickup truck crashed into the trailer of a Peterbuilt big rig truck at the Esparto intersection for unknown reasons.
Following the collision, the yellow pickup truck became wedged underneath the Peterbuilt’s trailer.

Authorities said the accident resulted in minor injuries. The number of injured victims and their names were not immediately disclosed.
County Road 19 was closed for nearly two hours as crews worked to clear the crash site.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
