75-Year-Old Person Killed in El Cajon Pedestrian Crash on South Mollison Avenue

El Cajon, California (October 8, 2020) – A 75-year-old pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Wednesday night in El Cajon, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 7:40 p.m., on October 7, on South Mollison Avenue between Main Street and Lexington Avenue.
According to the police, the pedestrian was crossing South Mollison Avenue, south of Main Street, when an Acura struck them.
A witness told the police that the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk when the accident transpired.
One vehicle reportedly slowed down for the pedestrian, but the driver, the southbound Acura, did not see the person in the roadway.
Fatal El Cajon Pedestrian Crash on South Mollison Avenue
The 75-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
Traffic on Mollison Avenue between Main Street and Lexington Avenue was stopped for an unknown period due to the mishap.
