Mark Iskander Among 2 Killed in Westlake Village Pedestrian Crash at Triunfo Canyon Road and Saddle Mountain Drive
Westlake Village, California (October 1, 2020) – Mark Iskander, 11, has been identified as one of the two boys who were hit and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday night in Westlake Village, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 7:10 p.m., on September 29, at the intersection of Triunfo Canyon Road and Saddle Mountain Drive.
According to the police, Iskander and his brother, Jacob Iskander, 9, were walking in a marked crosswalk with their family when a vehicle struck them.
Fortunately, their mother rescued their sibling on a Razor scooter and another in a stroller.

Sadly, Mark was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jacob was transported to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The involved driver, Rebecca Grossman, 57, of Hidden Hills, who was determined to have been intoxicated, fled the scene, the officials said.
Grossman was later arrested on two counts of vehicular manslaughter. She was being held on a $2 million bail.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
