Man Killed in San Diego Car Accident on Highway 54 near Interstate 5
San Diego, California (September 25, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Friday morning car accident that killed a man in San Diego.
The deadly crash happened at about 5:40 a.m. on the westbound side of Highway 54, near the transition to Interstate 5.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a car driven by the man drifted off the highway in the National City area and crash-landed in a body of water.
First responders arrived at the scene and pulled the man from the water.

Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was not clear if other victims were involved in the accident.
Traffic on the highway was stopped for an unknown period due to the crash.
