Oxnard Woman Killed in Car Crash on White Sage Road in Moorpark
Moorpark, California (September 24, 2020) – A woman died after a police pursuit ended in a car crash in Moorpark on Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened at about 1 a.m. on White Sage Road, near the State Route 23 overpass.
The officers were pursuing a driver who was traveling at a high rate of speed in Oxnard but the chase was called off due to high speeds and dangers posed to the public.

About 15 minutes later, the 23-year-old woman failed to turn right on White Sage Road and the vehicle left the roadway and went over the side of a 200 foot cliff.
The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol are investigating the cause of the accident.
